Intravu’s Sidevu 30 hit a sweet spot for us – a perfect blend requiring our design engineering experience, fascination with ergonomics and mic-drop form creation. It unfortunately involved Kevin having to watch medical procedures and that didn’t go so well...
Intravu is team of medical wizard engineers with laser focus on engineering an incredible medical innovation. The SideVu has a tiny camera in the tip and allows doctors in an out-patient setting to look inside damaged joints. Navigating a series of FDA and packaging constraints, we converted an existing glue architecture into a snap fit assembly and designed the friction based, over molded rotary wheel at the front of the device. We spec’d materials, built prototypes and supported through vendor selection and production.
Discommon was able to adjust to changing scope and fast timelines that unavoidably happen for most projects. Kevin is a master of ideation design and Jeremy has tremendous experience in mechanical engineering. They both integrated seamlessly with Intravu’s in-house engineering team towards our new medical device.
